Statement
Lina Orejuela.
Soy un artista cyborg. Como artista, me interesa explorar los cuerpos que se formulan en el mundo contemporáneo. Estudio discursos como el posthumanista y el transhumanista, ya que entienden y piensan en la existencia emergente de otras formas de vida y otras conformaciones corporales.
Por eso me interesa la noción del cyborg como cuerpo pos-orgánico y pos-dual, de género impreciso. Así, a través de mis proyectos cuestiono los límites del cuerpo orgánico y presento las redefiniciones de los límites y funciones que surgen de la superposición entre el arte la ciencia y la tecnología.

I’m a cyborg artist. As an artist, I am interested in exploring the bodies that are formulated in the contemporary world. I study discourses such as the posthumanist and the transhumanist, as they understand and think about the emerging existence of other life forms and other body conformations.
That is why I am interested in the notion of the cyborg as a post-organic and post-dual body, of imprecise gender. Thus, through my projects I question the limits of the organic body and present the redefinitions of the limits and functions that arise from the overlap between art, science and technology.
